Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. They should have scored at least an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (40% in case of reserved categories) Candidates should have passed Urdu, Arabic, or Persian in the 10th or 12th Standard. Those who didn’t have Urdu, Arabic, or Persian in the 10th or 12th Standard shall have to study Urdu along with Arabic and Mantiq wa Falsafa (Logic and Philosophy) in the 1st year of BUMS. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Admission Process:
- The selection process for the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences courses (UG) considers the candidates’ performance in the qualifying entrance examination.
- Candidates appearing for the Rajiv Gandhi University admission for PG courses must also appear for the qualifying entrance exam.
- For Ph.D., the eligible candidates are required to appear for the RGUHS interviews.

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates applying for the scholarship must fulfil the following criteria:
- Students applying for the RGUHS scholarship should have studied in Karnataka for at least 10 years or more.
- MBBS and BDS students should have scored more than 80%, whereas the students of other Health Science courses should have scored more than 60% in 10+2 or other equivalent examinations.
- The parents of students applying to the RGUHS, Bangalore scholarships should have an annual income not exceeding Rs. 6 lakhs.
